So sorry to hear of Mrs. Lynn's passing. What a wonderful lady. Always remember the fun times at the Lynn's pool, and the birthday cards with the shiny new quarters! My children got the biggest kick out of those birthday cards. You will be missed. Our condolences to your family.

David, Steve and family. I was saddened to learn of the passing of your Mom. I have so many fond memories of her from my childhood. From swimming in your family pool, trick or treating and playing tetherball in your backyard. Your Mom was always so gracious and friendly--I never saw her without a smile on her face and an infectious laugh. She was so good at remembering our birthdays and anniversaries and was so sweet to send my boys birthday cards with quarters for their piggy banks. She will always hold a special place in my heart and memory. My deepest sympathy to you all. God Bless.

I became acquainted with Mrs. Lynn when my children learned to swim in the family pool way back in the 80's.(through the Y backyard swim program) I remember her husband sitting in the family room back then. She was always so friendly and welcoming! Over the years we had several talks when I was walking about the neighborhood. I will always remember this wonderful person. She will be missed! God Bless her and her family!

Shirley was one of the most wonderful persons I have ever met-ever smiling, thoughtful & selfless. She gave much of herself to others. I shall never forget her many kindnesses to my brother & sister-in-law.

Mrs Lynn - your bright smile and gracious heart will be missed. You were such a presence in my childhood - your kindness was infectious and made me want to do more. In fact, there was a time when I helped you & Mr Lynn with some lawnwork - when I went home, my mom asked when I was going to do the same for them! I laugh at that now, but you always treated us like we were your family - sharing your home, homemade rhubarb pies, and that swimming pool! Even when I went off to college, you still remembered me. Even in later years, I would look first for the birthday card from your address & grin ear to ear as you continued the tradition of taping a shiny new quarter inside, somehow knowing that this little reminder of my childhood experience with you & your family would always bring a smile to my face.
You continue to inspire us all with your legacy of kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. I am blessed to have known you and will miss you dearly.

I was blessed to be a guest in the Lynn's home during my college internship in 1978. Mrs. Lynn was a beautiful and loving woman who loved her family and friends. I never missed a birthday card, wedding anniversary and Christmas until now. I will miss her dearly. May God bless Steve, Dave, Lorraine and their families.

Farewell Shirley. A gracious and graceful human being, you are a gem and the depth and beauty of your inner light will burn brightly forever. Your kindness was enormous: when my mom was struggling after my father passed , you were always willing to listen and comfort. You were so kind to our daughter : even as the kids grew older , you never stopped sending a birthday card to. Chloe with a shiny quarter taped inside . She will miss that, as will I. Even if I didn't see you , and hadn't , you were in my heart . My wish is that I can be half the spirit you gave to the world. I know you're not gone Shirley, only the physical form has ended. Peace to you and peace and comfort to all of your loved ones. And I bet you a birthday quarter Shirley that when Dave and Lorayne move into the home that Jerry created for all of you, that flag will fly on open swim days once again. With much love and thanks and admiration...Claudia and. Bill, Alex and. Chloe
