Irondequoit: Monday, December 9, 2013 at age 86. Predeceased by her mother; Elsie Feldhaus Carlson & father Chester W. Carlson, husband Lewis (Jerry) Lynn. Loving mother, grandmother, cousin and friend. Mrs. Lynn is survived by her sons; David (Lorayne) Lynn, Stephen (Joyce) Lynn of VA. She was devoted to her grandchildren; Jennifer & Bryan Lynn, Nicole, Brandon & Mikayla Lynn of VA, brother-in-law; John M. Lynn. She never missed a family member's or friend's birthday. Born in Jamestown, NY, Jan. 23, 1927, graduated Jamestown High School 1944 & from Allegheny College, 1948. Married Jerry in 1951 and moved to Irondequoit in 1954. After her sons were born she was a stay at home mom, working in volunteer jobs in church, schools, and her community. When her sons were grown she worked with her husband in his company, J.L. Rochester Co. She was a long-time member of Irondequoit United Church of Christ. The family wishes to thank the staff at Glenmere Assisted Living and the Friendly Home, as well as her medical professionals for their compassionate and loving care.
Her family will receive friends FRIDAY 4-7 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where her memorial service will be held SATURDAY 3:00pm, followed by a reception at the Harris Family Center. MONDAY calling in Jamestown 10-11 AM at the Lind Funeral Home 805 West Third Street. Interment Lakeview Cemetery, Jamestown. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Irondequoit United Church of Christ, 644 Titus Ave. Rochester, 14617.
