Obituary of Rev. Michael P. Cerretto C.S.B.

Cerretto, Rev. Michael Patrick, C.S.B. Rochester: Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his father, Michael. Fr. Cerretto is survived by his mother, Margaret; brother, Rocky (Angela) Cerretto; nephews, Michael (Lisa), Rock (Katie), Joseph (Shannon); uncles, Rocco & Anthony (Viola) Cerretto; aunt, Aida Lioy; uncle, Americo Pannoni; cousin, Mary Jo Provenzano; grand nieces and nephews, cousins and his Basilian Confreres. Fr. Cerretto was ordained in 1969 and graduated from Aquinas Institute and St. John Fisher College. He spent 45 years teaching at Aquinas Institute & Andrean High School in Merrillville, IN where he served as principal for 6 years. After retiring, Fr. Cerretto served in the diocese of Las Cruces, New Mexico. His family will receive friends TUESDAY 4:00 - 8:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Fr. Cerretto will lie in state from 9:00am on WEDNESDAY until his funeral mass at 10:00am at St. Jude The Apostle Church, 4100 Lyell Ave. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
