I met John at Pittsford in 1984 and we instantly became friends, sharing our passion for sports. We worked side by side at the post office and shared many of our personal life stories and events over our postal career. One of my fondest memories was when I was able to introduce John to a friend of mine from my hometown in Florida that became a major league pitcher with the Baltimore Orioles and was on the team when they won their last world championship. I hosted a small cookout at my house and invited John to join us and he really enjoyed sharing baseball stories with Bill Swaggerty. I will miss you partner !

Mariellen, John will always hold a special spot in our hearts. He found a way to find humor through his stories, antics, and socks. The Rochester Royals was the team he helped to create and they will continue to recognize his loss by wearing colored socks at their tournament in Ocean City MD this September.
