Obituary of Edwin Harold Davis

Davis, Edwin Harold
Irondequoit: Peacefully on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the age of 76. Predeceased by his parents, Harold & Ruth Davis. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy (Smith) Davis; son, Matthew E. Davis of Raleigh, NC; several sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many caring friends.
He was born September 24, 1939 in Rochester, he helped construct the St. Lawrence Seaway from 1958-1959, he joined the US Army in 1961, served in the Army Security Agency & was honorably discharged in 1964. He graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1969 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He worked at Eastman Kodak Co. for 25 years as a Mechanical Engineer retiring in 1991. He served for 3 years on the East Irondequoit School Board and for many years on the Irondequoit Conservation Board.
He loved traveling with his wife, he collected toy trains, loved gardening, trains, and was especially proud of the beautiful dahlias that he grew and that many people enjoyed. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
His memorial service will be held Wednesday December 2nd at 6:00pm. Interment Private.
