Dear John and Family,
I was incredibly saddened to hear of Jackie's passing. Just a week before, she came to my mind very clearly. She was my emergency contact at school and one day, I came down with the flu. She picked me up, bundled me up on the couch, and served me hot water with lemon and honey. I felt so well cared for. As I was recounting this story to my husband, floods of other stories came to mind. Offerings of cookies and monkey bread, discussions about the antics of Rocky and Charlie, meeting on the lawn in between our houses to catch up, and lots of hugs and kisses. Jackie was one of a kind. She always made me feel so welcome and loved. My heart goes out to you all in this difficult time.
Love to you all,
Lissy

Our prayers go out to John and the Eblacker family. One of my favorite memories as a child is when I would go to the Eblacker house with Chuck. Jackie would always make me feel so welcome and at home. As soon as I would walk in the door you would feel like she was a second mom with her loving and welcoming personality. I will remember those feelings forever and know that she will be shining down her warmth on Chuck and the Eblacker family always and forever.

I wanted to write a little something on behalf of Jackie. Our family have sweet loving thoughts of Jackie as a next-door neighbor to Ginny and Charlie Sweeney. My two children, Robert and Morgan Rinck, adored her. She was so good to the kids that Ginny watched. I always remember a very sweet smile on her face; she loved all the children. She certainly was a very special lady and we are blessed to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to the Eblacker family at this time. I considered Jackie to be my unoffical third Grandma. I remember her paying me to watch Charlie, her basset hound, while she and Jon were away on vacation. On some occasions she'd invite me and some of my sisters over for candle lit dinners. On summer days I remember watching the squirrels do acrobatics in her back yard on this contraption that spun ears of corn. She often sent me notes of encouragement after I got diagnosed with MS. I was blessed to know her as a neighbor, as a friend, and as family. She had a big heart with a lot of love to give.
My love to you all
Peggy

Dear John and Family
Kathy and I were saddened to learn of Jackie's passing. We were so lucky to count you as neighbors and friends for 33 years. So many warm memories, and especially of Jackie's embracement of Peg after her MS diagnosis back in 2001, coming over with plates of cookies and listening to her and just being there for her. We had many memories, one in which she was chasing Paul out of the house. That display made Kathy feel better about her own mothering skills, and that it was "normal" to loose it every now and then and still be considered a wonderful loving mother. I also remember her gentle counseling about us considering to be home more often on weekends as there was a bit of party action going on while we were away. She loved her family deeply and we had a front row seat on what it meant to be a part of a a loving dynamic family. We are in South Carolina and be back at the lake for Christmas, but known we will be with you in spirit as you say Au revoir this weekend.

My deepest and heartfelt condolences to the Eblacker family... I am wishing and praying for you all.
One of my favorite memories of Jackie was in Bethany Beach! Sitting in one of the bakeries and eating a chocolate crossient and sipping French coffee. Jackie talked of her memories of her parents and brothers. I can still hear and see her laughter or displeasure with the story she was telling me. Her beautiful eyes lighting up as she bit into her crossient! Her crisp white T-Shirt, and a navy sweater tied around her shoulders.. I adored her so much! I am so grateful to have had Jackie in my life.
