I learned about John's passing lately. (My father died in 2016 also). My deepest sympathy to his wife Carrol and family. I remember John making Steamed Artichokes with Drawn Butter every year for the St. Joseph's Table at St. Michael's Church. I remember him saying, "I had to mortgage the house!" while proudly bringing his wonderful dish, beloved by all, to the table. John was a kind, hospitable fellow parishioner and a great cook!

I had the distinct pleasure of working with John during the 1980s on several projects at Xerox in Webster. I was one of the Manufacturing Engineer assigned to support the production line on which he worked. John's tireless efforts & day-to-day sense of humor made him a joy to be around. We went our separate ways in Xerox after the '80s but I will always consider it a great honor & pleasure to have worked with & along side him. God rest your soul, Mr. Arena.

Dear Carroll and family: We will always remember John with a smile and he and our Dad Mike cooking for the get togethers in the cabins with their aprons on. He was a wonderful man and will be missed.
