Pat & Brendan we are sorry for your loss. Bernadette was a shining STAR with a beautiful spirit she shared with all she met. I remember when my Aunt Inez came to visit Us with a little girl in tow with this big smile and wanted to show you she could say her ABC's she was all of 2 years old. I was honored to be at her wedding to Pat what a happy day. Our prayers and thoughts are with you Pat, Brendan, family, and friends.

I only met Bernadette a few times, but I feel like I know her well because of the big impact she had on my sister's life as an RIT student. They remained friends beyond graduation. Bernadette was a very special person who will live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew her. I wish her family peace and comfort during this difficult time.

We mourn with those who mourn, but not as those who are without hope. For we know we will see our loving wife, mother, sister, and friend soon. And we can invision mother & son, playing and laughing together again, as Jesus looks on proudly. Peace be still, and know that He is God. This too shall pass, and let the joy of the Lord be your strength.

While I don't personally know you, knowing of your family's losses this year overwhelms my heart; I am so, so sorry for the incredible pain you are being forced to endure.
While it probably feels like God is nowhere to be found, I pray that he reveals himself to you in supernatural ways that only He can do.
My deepest condolences to all of the Lynch's; may you find solace knowing that Bernadette is no longer suffering nor is Michael.

I worked with Bernadette on the TRiO Advisory Board when I first started at RIT. I was so green and so naive. She was always very patient with me. Over the years her grit, determination and passion for working with first generation students was inspiring. Her inner light is a gift and will continue to touch lives of others.
Thank you Bernadette.
Sincerely,
Anne Walton

I am thinking about what an incomprehensible sadness for the Lynch family especially after the death of Michael such a short time ago.
Bernadette's mother, Inez, was secretary to the Religious Education Program at St. Margaret's Church. She was the most compassionate of servants and godmother to my baby at the time. Bernadette was in middle school and had a spiritual awakening at the time of our teen ski retreats. She was an active youth minister for her six years before graduating, full of joyful exuberance, consideration and respect for all and enthusiastic helper with the youth. This continued into her college years and beyond.
Her love for her faith, her love of family and friends was infectious and she empowered so many to reach out.
Thomas Merton, when asked where a loved one went, said, "Nowhere. He is still here. Where else would he be but where God's love is." St. John Chrysostom said, "(She) is not where she was./ ...SHE IS WHERE YOU ARE NOW!."
I have often felt Inez's presence as my guiding sister and I fully expect to be closer in love to Bernadette now that her spirit can accompany me in Connecticut.
Just as the disciples felt the living presence of Christ near them after his death, I hope all who love Bernadette will look for her wonderful spirit in the days and years ahead. Right now, right here. Love to the family, Dorothy
