Carol, Sean, Erica and Family: So very sad to hear of my dear friend Allen's passing. Where do you begin with a character like him? Met Allen while working at the Bank with Carol, Sean and then Erica. Thru Sean came to meet his Dad...bought cars, talked about life, drank coffee on Lyell Ave. I cant remember how many vans and cars I bought from him for my growing family, he looked after us like his own! I know he loved and cherished his family, he spoke of them often...and the smile on his face was always visible. I promise to keep an eye on Sean for you! Rest well my friend, Hope you are hunting and fishing with my Dad up there!
Love always,
Tony and Patti Mazzo

I just want to express my sincere condolences to the Yarton Family for your loss. I knew Alan after I was on the job for approximately 1-2 yrs and I met Al as he was a solo motorcycle officer. Al treated me like a seasoned officer and after that he was just a great guy and Police Officer. I'm so sorry for your loss. I pray that God gives you strength during this challenging time. God Bless

I never met an individual that influenced my life more than Allen Yarton did. I was about 17 working at a gas station when I met him as a motorcycle officer and admired him right away. Through the years Allen became more than a very close friend. He became my mentor, almost a father figure, an older brother there to make sure I always took the correct path in life. It was Allen that convinced me to take the police exam and convinced me of its benefits, health care, and retirement etc. He told me I could still work on cars on the side and make money, which I did. Allen was the one I could go to for advise and guidance if I had a problem or question. He never ever steered me wrong. If there was ever a person that dignified the phrase " role model" it was defined by Allen's character. Through the years we rode and raced motorcycles together. Sometimes we would just go for coffee, dit in a booth and he teach me about life lessons. Ah the good times. You don't need to be in the company of a real friend, or talk each day to each other to still be able to call each other best of friends. I always considered Allen one of my two closest life long friends over 50 years and it will remain unchanged. If only I could be recognized and judged by others the way I admired Allen, I would have lived a righteous life. REST in peace Allen, my dearest friend.
