To the Blum family, I am very sorry to hear the passing of Bob. He and I were the very best of friends on the USS Gary. We traveled to his home and up north to my home. We spent many good times together. We drifted apart and 40 some years later we reconnected at the USS Gary reunions. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Ron & Sheila Day Heuvelton, New York

Martha, Mike and I are so sorry to read about Bob's death. We remember when you got those scooters. We loved to talking to Bob. He was a funny, sweet and gentle man. Dad, I miss you so much already. It's your smile and loving nature that keeps all of us going. I can't wait until the next time we get on the bikes and head out on another run together buddy! To Martha and Bob’s family. I was privileged to know Bob beginning in May, 2005. I recall his sense of humor and his effort to help others who were friends of Bill. Bob, Pete Bassett, Rick Anderson and I enjoyed golf rounds together. Bob was a good friend to many of us. Martha I remember the two of you as a couple were always a bright spot when we were together. I was so very saddened to hear of Bob’s Covid problems. I will remember all of you in my prayers. Bob McCrory

Dear Jason, Thank you for the great pictures! I really like the picture of the two of you together. It seems like it was just last week that I was visiting you all - of course, we were all much younger and Uncle Bobby had quite a bit more hair.
