Blum, Robert Ford
Irondequoit: Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the age of 78 from complications of Covid-19. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Martha Fraver-Blum. He is also survived by his sons, Bryan R. Blum, and Jason L. Blum; his 3 surviving siblings include brothers, Norbe and Michael Blum and sister, Helen Sutfin. He leaves seven adoring grandchildren: Zachary, Kevin, Kyle, Erin, Allison, and Kaylee Blum, and Madison Rogers. In addition he leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and special godchildren, including Timothy Baumer and Hayley Parker. Bob entered the Navy in 1961, and was honorably discharged in 1965.Bob was predeceased by his parents Norbert and Helen Blum, and his siblings David, Paul, F.J. Blum, and Anne VanDurme.Bob was an avid golfer who loved playing the banjo and listening to bluegrass music. One of his favorite hobbies was driving his scooter on road trips with his sons and friends. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile, and his love of good jokes. Bob was a friend of Bill W. for forty-three years, and shepherded many men along the road of happy destiny.
