Doris was a very sweet, sharp, and caring woman. I could always count on her sending a card for my birthday and another for our family for Christmas; she never missed a single one. The last time I saw her in late 2019, she was still mentally sharp and interested in everything going on in my life, even in her old age. She will be dearly missed by many, including myself. I hope she can dance with Uncle Jim again now. My thoughts are with Keith and everyone affected by her passing.

I enjoyed ushering with Doris at the Rochester Philharmonic for many years. She was a lovely lady and we spent many enjoyable hours working and chatting. She will be missed.

Keith - I am so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a wonderful lady and taught me so much. I will always remember her fondly. And I think of her every time I make her raisin bran muffins.

We are so very sorry to learn of Doris's passing. Doris and Jim have been our neighbors for the past 45 years. Many a story and especially gardening tips were shared over our back yard fence over the years. Doris and i always congratulated each other on being one of the remaining few that hung our laundry out in our back yard clothespole! After Jim passed away we'd see Doris riding her bicycle around the neighborhood, always with a smile on her face! And even with her knee surgeries over the past years, she was always out walking the neighborhood, slow but sure. Doris always had a smile on her face, and laughter in her voice, always upbeat and positive. Keith - your mom was so very proud of you and all your accomplishments!
We will miss her!

I remember Doris Smith as a gentle and friendly woman, who always shared a sincere smile and heartfelt greeting whenever we encountered each other, whether it was in the neighborhood or at Church of the Ascension. I want to convey my deepest sympathy to Keith, who I know has been a strong and loyal son for his mom (and dad, before her) to rely upon until the end.

Keith, You are eloquent in your words for your mom. I agree with the person that said you were right on with your comments. Your mom was one heck of a lady and I knew when I would call or visit, I would get family history, laughs and many a thoughts to take home. You are now welcomed by friends and family which will be a heck of a party! God take care of your servant Doris, find a place close to your right hand, for that is where she belongs! Miss you already!

We have lost an amazing woman - her perseverance, faith and determination have been pillars of strength for all who had the honor to know her. She was a loyal friend, giving family member and caring mother who will be sorely missed by many, but especially me. It was an honor to have this amazing woman as my mother for the past 54 years. I will miss her dearly and know she is rejoicing in heaven with my dad and those family members who have also entered into eternal joy. A wonderful life for a special lady. Miss and love you mom.
