Honorable Joseph T. Genier

Irondequoit: Thursday, May 27, 2021 at the age of 76. He is survived by his children, Joseph (Karen Gorodetzky) Genier, Nicole (Michael Criscuolo) Genier, Phillip (Marisa) Genier, and their mother, Barbara Genier; grandchildren, Sivan and Raz Genier, Chase Criscuolo, Revlie, Indie, Stori and Cully Genier; brothers, John and Phillip Genier; several nieces and nephews.

Joe is a US Army Veteran and was stationed in Germany in the late 1960s. He then went on to work for the Monroe County Sheriff's Office (Road Patrol) as a Sergeant and member of the SWAT team for 20 years. During this time, he was heavily involved in the Community Service department of the Sheriff's Office.

Joe has served as an Irondequoit Town Judge for the last 28 years and also was the owner of J.T. Genier Security Inc.

Living in Irondequoit for over 70 years, Joe has been a member of the Irondequoit Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and former Director of the I.A.A. Basketball.

His family will receive friends Wednesday, June 2, 3-8pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family Thursday, June 3, 10:00 am at St. Kateri at Christ The King Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
